Say Hello To My New Camera

I purchased my Canon 600D in 2013 and as much as I loved it, I didn't use it as much as I hoped I would. I found the body and lens too bulky to take out with me and it was always a bit of faff having to import the photos via my laptop from the SD card. I also found the numerous settings a bit intimidating as I have no experience of using such a camera.

The Olympus PEN has been on my radar for a while and after coming across an amazing 25% off the Olympus PEN E-PL8, I couldn't resist finally caving in and getting one. It's marketed as a "blogger" camera because of its prettiness, compactness and the fact it easily takes great photos. It comes with a flip out screen, interchangeable lenses, a touch screen and WiFi. While I do still think that the Canon 600D has an advantage over this (for those with a keen interest in photography), for myself I don't need something as advanced or as highly functional as the Canon.

I've set up the camera using this handy blog post and so far, I've taken a few test photos of random items and family members all of which I have been very pleased with. I can't wait to get to grips with it fully and explore all of its functions. My favourites features at the moment are the touch screen which can be swivelled to numerous positions along with the fast wifi transfer option. I'm looking forward to fully getting to grips with it and discovering more of its functions and just what it can do.

A Fresh Start

Since starting my blog in 2011 I have occasionally taken periods of absence but recently I have really taken a long leave of absence. Life (in particular motherhood) has left me little to no time for blogging or social media. In light of this, I have decided to start afresh with my blog after being somewhat fed up of it for a while. I know I will never have the most aesthetically pleasing blog or the most interesting content but I really do enjoy blogging and don't want to give it up completely just yet. From now on you can expect to read  posts about motherhood, organization, beauty and travel as those are the topics I enjoy most.
